This rich-tasting honey is made from the nectar of the Leptospermum scoparium plant (known more commonly as the Manuka bush) and contains naturally occurring plant phenols.
MGO stands for methylglyoxal, an organic compound in Manuka honey responsible for its antibacterial activity. It is an indicator of the concentration of methylglyoxal (MGO Rating). The higher the level, the more potent the honey.
