Nutricia Poly-Joule Powder 400g
Description:
Poly-Joule is a non-sweet, unflavoured carbohydrate supplement based on maltodextrin.
Poly-Joule is used for the dietary management of disease-related malnutrition, for patients with high energy requirements or for patients requiring a fat and/or mineral restriction.
- 100% energy from carbohydrate (provides 19kcal per 5g scoop).
- Glucose polymer providing easily absorbed energy.
- Neutral flavour to enable mixing into food or fluids and cooking without significantly altering flavour or texture.
- Made from 100% maltodextrin a easily digestible source of carbohydrate.
- Low osmolarity: to prevent osmotic diarrhoea.
- Enhanced solubility: readily dissolves and allows for higher energy density in solution.
- Less sweet than other sugars such as sucrose: more of the product can be added without making the food/drink too sweet.
Ingredients:
Poly-Joule: Maltodextrin.
Does not contain wheat, egg, nuts*, lupins.
Halal certified and no Kosher forbidden ingredients.
No gluten containing ingredients. No detectable gluten when tested to a sensitivity level of less than 5 parts per million (<5 ppm i.e. <5mg/kg).
Low lactose (lactose <2g/100g).
Usage Directions:
- Handle aseptically to ensure product remains sterile.
- Sprinkle required amount of powder into food and/or drink and mix well. Use only the scoop provided in the packaging to ensure serving consistency.
- Prepare the food or drink per serving and consume within 2 hours.
- Discard unused prepared portions after 2 hours.
- Usage to be determined by a healthcare professional.
Storage:
- Store in a cool, dry place.
- Once opened, use contents within 4 weeks.
- Discard unused contents after 4 weeks.
- Replace lid firmly after use.
- Do not refrigerate.

Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition.
Not for parenteral use.
Not suitable for patients with galactosaemia.
Not suitable for infants under 1 years of age.
Use with caution in children aged 1-6 years of age.
Use with caution in patients with diabetes because of the relatively high carbohydrate content and the source of carbohydrates.

Change of Mind

If you've had a change of mind about an item you have ordered, we'll need to receive it back to us unopened and unused, in the original packaging.
Faulty Item

If the item you have received is faulty, please contact us with a detailed description of the product fault, alongside a photo if possible.
Allergic Reaction
- In the rare instance you've had an allergic reaction to a product, please discontinue use of the product immediately. We may reach out for further information on the reaction.
Allergy returns must be less than 20% used upon arrival back to us.
Incorrect / Damaged Items

If you have received an item that isn't what you ordered, or it arrived damaged, please take a photo and contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Please don't dispose of the item without informing us.
