Every ingredient is functionally nurturing within this pure certified organic balm, however, one exceptional active ingredient is Colloidal oat lipid complex (Avena Sativa (Colloidal Oat) Kernel Extract). This is not the same as “colloidal oat flour” known also as “Colloidal Oats”.
Colloidal oat lipid complex is an intensive concentrate lipid extract that repairs, renews and protects deeply. It is a complex of skin identical lipids including ceramides, phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine which provide both short-term and long-term protection. Colloidal oat lipid complex is particularly effective in soothing the skin because it contains anti-inflammatory compounds called avenanthramides and will stimulate the skin's natural hyaluronic acid production.
